You don’t get to Version 3.0 by accident
Last summer I hit a wall.
I was tired. Angry. Frustrated with everything – my job, my family, my kids, you name it.
I couldn’t lose weight no matter what I tried. I felt like my life wasn’t moving forward at all.
And, I was in the middle of building out content for The Balance Reset – a platform designed to help high-performing women conquer burnout and reclaim power over their lives – but I was blocked when I sat down to write. Here’s the thought that hit me – How am I going to help other women if I can’t even help myself?
That was my moment of truth. That was the day I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Maybe you know that feeling. That bone-deep exhaustion that goes way beyond needing a good night’s sleep. That quiet fury at yourself for staying stuck.
That moment when something inside you finally says — ENOUGH.
If you’re there right now, I want you to know something: That moment is not a breakdown.
That moment is a beginning.
The 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 versions of life
I’ve started thinking about phases of my life in different versions.
Version 1.0 was Danna before marriage and children – figuring out who I was and what I wanted.
Version 2.0 was my first marriage, motherhood, divorce and everything that came with rebuilding a life as a single mother and professional woman at 50.
Version 3.0 is my second marriage and everything that comes next – the life I am intentionally desiging, ON MY OWN TERMS, with full awareness of who I am and what I deserve. I am in the beginning phases of 3.0.
First step: I made a plan and visualized what it looked like.
What are the versions of your life? Which one are you in right now? More importantly – which version do you want to be in and what does it look like to you?
Because….here’s what I know: you cannot get to 3.0 by accident. You have to decide to go there and make a plan.
The Plan That Changed Everything
Once I hit that wall last summer, I didn’t just sit with the feeling. I did what I know how to do–I made a plan.
It wasn’t complicated. But it was honest. It was simple. I want a different life – one where I enjoy my life’s work, one where my husband and I can enjoy time together, one where I can get out and go walking without worrying about conference calls bothering me.
But, it takes one step at a time. Have you heard of a 30, 60, 90 day plan?
It takes one step forward. With boldness, fear but conviction that you are doing the right thing for you.
As first lady Eleanor Roosevelt once said – “Do one thing every day that scares you”
Every single thing on that plan scared me. The doctor’s appointments I had been avoiding. The business I was afraid to build because I would fail. The future I was afraid to want.
I did them anyway.
One scary thing at a time.
And everything started to change.
So let me ask you.
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
Are you ready to stop waiting for the right moment, the right circumstances, the right version of your life to magically appear?
Because here’s the truth – the right moment is this one.
The right version of your life is the one you decide to build starting today.
What would your 3.0 look like?
If you want to build your own reset, start with one simple category. In the first 30 days, focus on your health — schedule the appointments you have been putting off and start showing up for your body.
That’s it. Thirty days at a time. One reset at a time.
I spent the next 60 days (took that long to get into doctor’s offices) finding out about my health. Losing weight, figuring out that my heart palpitations were mainly anxiety and not my heart. Getting my lab results under control. Putting all those diagnostic tests behind me with a clean bill of health – ready to start my next 30 days.
If you want help building your 30,60, 90 day plan – I’d love to be part of that conversation. Book a free 30-minute call with me and let’s map our your next chapter together.
